High Density Insulation

Cetra Technologies Pty Ltd has lincensed its high density cryogenic pipe support technology to LISEGA AG.
LISEGA AG manufactures the Cetra High Density cryogenic pipe support technology under the brand name HIPAC.

The following is an extract from LISEGA AG's HIPAC product brochure.
"LISEGA’s HIPAC is a unique high pressure overpack moulding process that utilizes the exothermic heat of the reaction between
the polyol and isocyanate to build internal pressure within the confined space of the high precision moulds.
LISEGA’s unique foam formula has been specially developed to expand up to eighty percent more than the volume of
the mould. The high pressure generated when the expanding foam is confined within the mould during the moulding
process gives rise to the outstanding qualities of LISEGA’s HIPAC overpack moulded cryogenic pipe supports.
The HIPAC concept offers multiple advantages, especially over cradles cut from “free rise” blocks:
■ provides clean, sharp edges that fit neatly with the adjacent line insulation material on site
■ produces foam with a fine cell structure that is uniform throughout
■ provides higher cryogenic thermal stress/shock resistance (CTSR 3.5 – 5)
■ ensures compliance with specified dimensional tolerances
■ maintains dimensional stability throughout the full range of service temperatures from -385°F/-196°C through +302°F/+100°C
■ HIPAC foam cradles retain shape when cut into half cylinders ■ HIPAC foam cradles are environmentally friendly, with 100% material recovery, no waste urethane offcuts
■ HIPAC foam cradles provide additional water vapour and mechanical protection with a thin, yet very high density moulded skin, which is 99% closed cell"
